An Excellent Education Doesn’t Happen By Accident

As the title above suggests, whether you’re talking about a Pre-K, kindergartener or child in 6th grade looking to move on to the high school setting, leaving things up to chance is clearly not the way to go if you ever hope to fully prepare children for the challenges that lie ahead.

And I’m not even just talking about the work world. Moving from preschool to grade school can be quite daunting if deliberate effort isn’t made to make the transition as smooth and seamless as possible.

Long gone are the days when parents simply dropped off their little ones for a day of unbridled and non-stop play. With the advances in technology (who doesn’t have a tablet these days?) and the increasingly competitive nature of the modern workplace, it’s essential that educators take a more proactive approach when planning curricula for students, be they toddlers or pre-teens.

What Many Don’t Know

To the surprise of many, this is actually something we’ve been doing at FBCS & WEE Care for quite some time. The entire curriculum is designed so that each grade’s class work builds upon that of the previous one and this is a process we start the moment they are enrolled in WEE Care.

There’s an ongoing process of evaluation, assessment and improvement that is applied to each student for the entirety of their tenure at the school which makes it easier for teachers to catch areas of weakness and make adjustments as required. This is precisely why we’re now seeing more and more examples of students (who start in WEE Care) making the transition to the higher grade and even over into high school with great ease.

To explain the full details of everything involved we could probably spend months writing articles but thankfully there’s a much easier way.

On Monday Feb 2 all are invited to attend the annual FBCS & WEE Care Open House where we’ll showcase what we’ve been doing and the incredible results we’ve been getting.

If your child is already enrolled then this is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the strategy behind the Christ-centered approach to education that we take. It’s also the perfect place to get a peek into what your child can expect as they move up to their next grade level.

Looking For A School?

If you’re currently looking for a school for your child and just want to know a bit more about the way we operate then, short of actually attending the school yourself, there is probably no better way to see first hand what we do and why than coming to the Open House on Feb 2nd.

We’ll start at 5:30 pm in the sanctuary and then move on over to the gym where you’re invited to visit the booths set up for each grade and ask whatever questions you may have.
