Fun Field Trip to Rum Point

As Mrs. Morgan prepares to go on maternity leave, Grade 3 thought it would be fun to head to Rum Point for a day of fun in the sand, surf and sun!  Here’s a look at what we did.

Reading Week (17 – 21 Feb)

Day 1 - We pass the reading baton to Grade 2.  Each grade read for at least 30minutes when they received the baton.

Day 3 - Author Day. FBC senior Pastor, Pastor Thabiti came and spoke to Grade 3 and 2 about what it means to be an author. He got us excited to use our imaginations to create word pictures.

Day 4 - Book Study.  We read the book "My Little Island" by Frane Lessac.  Then created an itinerary based on ideas from the book of what we would do with a friend who came to visit Grand Cayman.

Field Trip to Queen Elizabeth Botanical Gardens

Grade 3 took a tour of the Queen Elizabeth Botanical Gardens as part of our Social Studies Inquiry unit on Cayman Heritage.  We had a guided tour of the Blue Iguana program and then a tour of the native gardens.  We learnt lots and had a great time!
