Spelling – complete all workbook pages in Lesson 9, easily miss-spelt words. Some students were also given Latin and Greek derivative work as challenge work. Please check your student’s Word Study book and Agenda for further information. Friday spelling test will be on Lesson 9, with Latin and Greek derivative words for those students doing the challenge words.
Reading – students have been asked to choose from a variety of genres when selecting personal material to read. They have been given a Reading Wheel (pie graph) to shade in as they read over the next few months. The Reading Wheel has been glued into their Reading Comprehension workbook. The genres students have been asked to read from include fiction (chapter books, picture books and poem books) and non-fiction (biographies and/or auto-biographies, picture books, and newspaper articles which can be from an online newspaper). Please help your child find at least 20minutes a day to read.
