Our Mission
Our Mission Statement
The mission of First Baptist Christian School is to provide academic excellence in a Christ centered environment which meets the educational and spiritual needs of each individual, and to develop confident, caring, responsible citizens, life-long learners who exemplify grace, knowledge, integrity and godliness.
Our Philosophy & Purpose
Our teaching program will allow children to grow and develop as Jesus did: in “wisdom and stature” and “in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52). Realizing that God made children to be active learners, a range of activities will be provided that are designed to meet the needs of children at their level of development along the growth continuum.
As a staff we are committed to helping students discover their natural gifts through multiple intelligence training. We believe that all children should be given opportunities to learn about God’s world and how to live in it. Therefore, activity teaching through themes establishes foundations for understanding God, Jesus, the Bible, church, self, others, and the natural world.
Activities in each theme help children develop language, reading, writing, mathematic and problem-solving skills appropriate to his or her stage of development. Through carefully planned activities children develop physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
Our school philosophy is a Christ-centered approach to education. With our Bible-integrated curriculum, we try to instill the truths of God’s Word within the child. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We are committed to wisdom education centered around God’s Word.
Through character training and Christian leadership we prayerfully lead the child toward an understanding of God’s will for his life. The ultimate aim, as the child matures, is to invite the child to accept Christ and to learn how to make Christ his Lord and Master. Our purpose is not only to educate your child to lead successful lives in this world, but to fit them for eternity.
