To wrap up our study of dinosaurs, Kindergarten enjoyed a day of prehistoric fun and games! Students were divided into teams and given dinosaur names, then competed in games such as “Pin the plates on Steggy” and “Feed the T-rex”
We enjoyed dino snacks such as dinosaur scales (potato chips), dino bones (pretzel sticks), herbivore food (fruit platter), carnivore food (sausages), and swamp juice (fruit punch)
The highlight of the morning was an all-out dinosaur hunt where our junior paleontologists dug up dinosaurs and bones from the sand pit. Some of the dinos didn’t want to go extinct, and were still hanging around above ground.
At the end we tallied all the points to see which team won! The yellow Pteradactyls led the competition, but it was a close game, and everyone had tons of fun :).
After lunch we watched “The Good Dinosaur” and enjoyed a beautiful (and delicious!) cake made by one of our students!
Overall the day was a ROARING success!
