Welcome back to our Kinders after our break. Having said goodbye to fabulous February, let us march into March!
We are entering our 4th unit of study called “God’s Green Earth”. The topic coverage will include the following:-
- Reading- Syllables, Blending and Segmenting, Word solving decoding Strategy: Skippy the Frog, Comprehension- Making Connections & Synthesizing, Grammar-Nouns – Singular and Plural, Verbs-Past Tense.
- Opinion Writing- knowing how opinion differs from fact, stating an opinion with supporting arguments for or against, writing persuasively to others.
- Math Concepts- Making Graphs, Addition and Subtraction
- Science & Social Studies- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle- Our impact as a consumer.
- Cooking- Food Commodities (Cereals, Dairy, Meat, Potatoes)
- Bible Study – David & Mephibosheth, Esther, Daniel and the Lion, Jonah and the Whale, Easter.
We are requesting that students start bringing in waste items such as paper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans, glass (safely packaged and handed to the class teacher/assistant. We will need the materials for our recycling unit.
