Mrs. Sandra Galvao is our Kindergarten Teacher’s Aide and School Librarian. She comes to FBCS from the country of Brazil, and has been with us for 16 years. Mrs. Sandra is passionate about reading and the library and does a wonderful job of leading our “Accelerated Reading Program”. Students are encouraged to read books, and take online tests to collect points. These points are then redeemed in the AR Store which opens about once per term. Students love this program, and are motivated to read!
Mrs. Sandra is also the Kindergarten Teacher’s Aide, and works with Mrs. Morgan during the morning sessions to help lead small groups of students. She also has a key role in supervising students in the mornings and at lunch and recess. Mrs. Galvao is always willing to help others, and fills in wherever needed around the school. Whether it is leading music in chapel, creating bulletin boards, assisting in the kindergarten class, or leading the library program, Mrs. Galvao puts her heart into all that she does and we are so grateful for her.
