Topic: Measurement – Compare Capacity and Weight Revision and Quiz
Objective: The student should be able to:
• Compare the capacity and weight of two objects to determine holds more and holds less; weighs more and weighs less.

Bible Story: Easter
Focus: The Road to Emmaus
Objective: To know that Jesus is arrested, crucified, and raised from the dead before He ascends to
heaven.
Listening Time: Read the paraphrase from Luke 24:13-35. (see document attached)
Ask the following questions to review:
• Why were the two friends sad?
• What did the man tell the two friends?
• When did the two friends recognize the man?
• What did Jesus and the friends do next?

Learning Activity: Complete the activity from the Bible textbook on page 115. Read the sentences to students. Tell students to write the words, Jesus, on each blank line and color the picture.

Literacy: Writing
Objective: Students should be able to:
• Fill in the blank to complete the sentences.
• Print his/her first and last names.
• Begin each sentence with a capital letter and use ending punctuation.
• Identify “ig,” word family.
• Sound the letters and put the sounds together.

Reading Activity: Children will complete page 43 in the (Journeys Reader’s Notebook). Parents, please read the instructions/words with your child.

Reading Book: “My Big Wig”

And read the book. Children will identify the “ig” word family in the book.

Phonics: – “ig” Sound– make the sound. Name things that have the “ig” sound. Example: (pig, fig, dig, wig, jig, big)

and listen to the word family “ig” repeat the sound of “ig” and say the words. Allow children to write three (3) sentences with three (3) of the words learned on a paper on their own.

Science/Social Studies
Please take some time each day to work on the Science/Social Project entitled “End of Unit Science and Social Studies Project.’ This project is due on April 6, 2020. Please send a short video of this project presentation to Mrs. Dawson via email.
