Looking Ahead: Week of January 16th

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are back into the swing of things here in 2nd grade. The regular patterns of weekly spelling words, Bible verses, and new reading stories have resumed. Please make sure that your child is bringing home the printed weekly bulletin so that they can study (and also keep track of their reading on the Reading Log on the other side!)

Here is the electronic copy: Weekly Bulletin: Spelling, Bible Verse, Updates

  • 2A and 2B are about to study Grand Cayman’s districts in Social Studies. Please make sure your child either knows their address by heart or has a piece of paper with the address written on it! We will be using this in class for an activity.
  • Books of the Bible Song (OT and NT): 2B students are trying to learn the books of the Bible better as they begin to gain more reading skills and are able to follow along during Bible lessons. They are also trying to get better at using the Table of Contents in order to win the Swords Up Bible book location speed game we’ve started playing 🙂
  • This Week’s Story is The Day Jimmy’s Boa Ate the Wash and the vocab words are: boring, ducked, sense, suppose, tractor.
