Update and Class Party

Updates

We spent this week reviewing for assessments.

Students have completed all scheduled assessments and their grades are looking good.

There is no homework for this weekend. Please use the time to read with your children and have them read to you, ask open ended questions (why do you think the character did what he/she did?) and close ended questions (did the character’s problem happen at home?) during and after a reading session. Please have your child pay attention to punctuation and appropriate expressions when reading.

Math text books will be sent home on Wednesday December 18th, for students to continue to practice over the break; addition and subtraction using different methods.

We continue with our study of David next week: David leads in thanksgiving – Our focus will be on the following chapters from 1 Chronicles 15 and 16, Colossians 3:15, Psalms 103, 105 and 106.

Please Note

Students will resume taking home a book each night and writing their reading logs when we return from break in January.
