Dear Parents,

We have now completed Theme 2: “The Cayman Islands – A Part of the World,” where we have looked at the Continents, Oceans and Our Caribbean Neighbours.  We have also started the practical part of our project in making the globe of Our World. To make this even more interesting we are going to learn more about the Continents.  Each child will choose a continent and research on the continent he/she has chosen to do.

Class Project

The Grade 2 class will be working on a class project – Social Studies – Theme 2 : Cayman Islands – “A Part of the World” with special focus on the Continents and Oceans with the Caribbean countries. Creating a model of the globe (Earth) using balloons and paper.  The project will start in class and sent home later for the final finishing.  The students are excited and so is the teacher.The project should show:

  1. The continents
  2. Oceans
  3. Equator 

Items needs for Project
