Letter to the Parents – 28/11/2014

Dear Parents,
Whew the end of a very busy and productive week is here !
THANKYOU so much for your help with International Night last Friday. Our class had the BEST homemade costumes, and I LOVED our booth because it was all done by the students ! They did so well.
This week the students have been working on book reports. These need to be completed by Friday 6th December. We have done most of the rough drafts in class, they just need to write up in neat or type out during the next week.
In numeracy we have started a new chapter on Rounding Whole Numbers and Decimals.
Don’t forget the Christmas Concert is on Tuesday 2nd December – the students will be wearing their T-shirts with dark bottoms ( jeans are fine ).
Please ask your child the following questions over the weekend to reinforce class time –
1. What would $15.75 be, rounded to the nearest dollar ?
2. What was your favourite part of ‘The Fourteenth Goldfish’ and why ?
3. What are lines of longitude and latitude ?
Many thanks as always for you cooperation.
