What is a mind map?
A Mind Map is a visual thinking tool that can be applied to all cognitive functions, especially memory, learning, creativity and analysis. Mind Mapping is a process that involves a distinct combination of imagery, colour and visual-spatial arrangement. The technique maps out your thoughts using keywords that trigger associations in the brain to spark further ideas.
How to Mind Map?
This week in Literacy we are enjoying Reading Week activities based on Fairy Tales.
Monday – The True Story of the Little Pigs – a persuasive piece to show the Wolf is innocent.
Tuesday — Jack and the Bean Stalk – Who is the real bad guy in the story ?
Wednesday – Aesop’s Fables – a writing response on what one of these fables teaches us.
Thursday – Cinderella – good triumphs over evil – a letter to one of the characters.
Friday – students will be writing their own fairy tale.
Homework this week is 30 minutes silent reading every day.
