Well Done Grade 5 !

Grade 5 did a wonderful job with raising money for water.org.

With the whole school dress down and the Grade 5 bake sale we raised $370 US dollars. At least 3 families now have clean water.

Thank you Grade 5 and parents !

Letter to the Parents – 8/4/2016

Dear Parents,

We have settled back into the routine after Easter break.
In literacy we are enjoying a unit on Inventors and innovative inventions and  reviewing grammar skills – in particular main verbs and helping verbs.
In numeracy Grade 5 are hard at work understanding fractions – improper and mixed numbers.
In Science we have begun a new unit of Physical Science on Forces.
Please remember next week Wednesday 13th April is the Grade 5 Bake Sale – please send in yummy treats for us to sell. All proceeds go to water.org to help provide clean water for people that do not have access to it.
Here are some questions to ask your child over the weekend to reinforce what we are learning in class –
1. What are three types of forces ?
2. Convert 14/6 into a mixed number.
3. Tell me 3 facts about Thomas Edison.
Many Thanks.

Wonder Wednesday 6/4/2016
