Happy Tuesday!
Please see the plans for Tuesday below:
Also, for a better understanding of how to upload and find documents on Microsoft Teams, I’ve created a video. Please see below. This is also located in our Grade 5 Class team.

Welcome back! Hope you all had a great weekend of rest and time with one another. (:
Here’s a new week ahead!
Please see Monday’s plans.
We will also be sending out an excel document soon with all the assignments given so far. We will send notes about which are still missing assignments. That document will be an easier way to view tasks and the dates assigned.
Please let us know if you have any concerns or questions!
Specials:
Technology and Spanish have both been updated on their blog posts, please check them out to continue assignments.
PE will be posted in Microsoft Teams as they now have a team set up and can communicate with Coach Kring directly. She is connected to Seesaw through the code we use, but she will let you know about Seesaw usage.
Many thanks,
Grade 5 Team
Happy Friday!
We’ve all made it through a full week of eLearning. You did it!
Thank you for continuing to communicate with us this week, it is very helpful with students and yourself asking questions and giving updates.
There’s only a week and a half of quarter 3 before we prep for reports. If your child is struggling please let us know, with MT (Microsoft Teams) we can now video chat individually with you and your child to clarify and go over assignments. If they’ve been overwhelmed with assignments it’s crucial to talk to us so we can see if there’s a way to adjust what they’ve done, so there’s enough for grading in reports and have a well rounded look into what they’ve learned.
Thank you and have a great weekend (:
Blessings, Grade 5 team
See Friday’s plans below:
We’ve added Art today, a whole family activity!
There were some issues when inserting links into the document so unfortunately they are separate but will also be in MT – in the Grade 5 Class posts.

If the link does not work, there are step by step instructions in the plans
Hello!
The week is almost done and we find ourselves in a very unique situation. Praying for you all and especially those with family members who are considered essential workers and still out doing their job, we are all very thankful for the work they do. We pray that in this time with family you can all make the best out of the situation, play some games, watch a movie, bake something, and make some memories (:
Here is Thursday’s plan
Daily Plan Thursday 26th March
Blessings,
Grade 5 Team
Hello, happy Wednesday!
Wednesday’s plans are below. Remember these are also on the blog, Grade 5 Class > Files > Daily Plans, click on Daily Plans and then just look for the day!
Daily Plan Wednesday 25th March
Note: Specials (Music, PE, and Tech) are to be completed when it’s more convenient for you and your family. All specials are in their own post and updated weekly, check those spaces for information. Music is also in Microsoft Teams (MT) due to the large song files, but all instructions and information can be found on both sites, the blog and MT.
Hello!
Please see the daily plans below. We know that many are still figuring out routines and getting used to our platforms. We were so happy to see so many of you ‘checking in’ today on Microsoft Teams, thank you! and how you were able to log in to Seesaw and complete assignments. Keep it up!
We know there is a lot going on right now, so please know we understand when an assignment can’t be completed in a day or even a few! Just let us know so you need more time or a different deadline and we’re happy to accommodate. This goes for projects and tests as well. Do your best to upload assignments to Microsoft Teams by taking a picture or scan. Any Seesaw assignments just stay there, so no need to send it twice.

Dear Students and Parents,
You should have already received an email with the steps on how to sign in to Microsoft Teams and Seesaw as well as your child’s username and password for each. Videos below are steps for the sign in process if you are having trouble and how to upload an assignment.
Please be sure to have your student send a little ‘hello!’ in the Grade 5 Class chat for Microsoft Teams and Seesaw, so Mrs. Nyyssonen and I can see and reply! (:
UPDATED: View steps on how to turn in an assignment.
They are located in Grade 5 Class > Files > Microsoft Teams Video Tutorial
Steps for signing in are here below as well
Click on the link below for a video form of the steps.
Click on the video below for steps on how to upload assignments to specific teams or chats.
Please view the video below from Ms. Broomfield who created this for her students and passed along for us to use. It is the same process. As explained in the email, students will use a code to enter into the Grade 5 class and both Ms. Nyyssonen and I will assign tasks.
1. Go to seesaw.com
2. Log in to ‘Student’
3. Type code given in your email for each individual student
4. View activities
