Pay close attention to what’s to come!
Literacy
Reading – in reading this week we will examine a short story and look at the text structure of cause and effect.
Grammar – students will study at interjections and quotations.
Writing – As we progress through the Persuasive writing unit students will gather ideas, plan and begin a draft.
Numeracy
This week in numeracy, students will use their problem solving skills and fractions to add and subtract fractions in word problems. We will also learn a new method of how to multiply and simplify fractions.
Science
This week students will be creating their own circuits to understand the process and understand how electricity flows through circuits. Students will also learn about the effects of static electricity. There will be a quiz on circuits this Friday.
Social Studies
This week students will look at the main industries pf the past and present in Cayman.
In our map studies we will look at how grids work.
Bible
We will study the life of Samuel and how he lived a godly life, listening to God and following His will for his life.

Students will need to watch the video for review and complete the practice problems done in the video. This will support what we will review in class on Friday.

Follow the instructions and make sure a title and objective is present in their composition books.
Create diagrams for: Parallel, Series, Open and Closed circuits
- Title: Circuit Diagrams and date (NOT IN NO MANS LAND)
- Objective: Drawing and labeling circuits
- Label: Wire, Battery, Bulb, Switch (if needed)
- Make sure it is neat and not squishing in diagrams to fit on one page, you can use more than one page!
- Use colored pencils or crayons (no markers)
- Use these pictures as references

- NCFA this week! we are scheduled for Thursday, located in our sanctuary at FBC. We hope you can join to listen and cheer them on! At the moment we don’t know our performance time but Ms. Janelle will be sending out an email with more information and as she knows more will pass along.
