Science – this week is revision week of our Earth Science unit. They will be doing an assessed practical on Wednesday and a theory test on Friday. Revision homework will be sent out during the week.Math – We start a focus on developing strategies to quickly solve addition and subtraction problems. Children will be given an individual profile sheet of strategies they can currently do and ones they are working towards. This profile sheet will stay in their Portfolios in class.Literacy – In writing, children will be learning to write quickly and descriptively. We continue our guided reading program. A novel study will also be introduced shortly.Bible – We focus on the fifth commandment this week, “honour your father and mother.” Our memory verse is Mathew 15:4.Monthly Manner focus – We will be focusing on showing respect to adults, specifically teachers and parents. A particular focus is on listening and following instructions, using a respectful tone of voice when talking and using kind words e.g. good morning, good afternoon etc.PE/Swimming – We start swimming at the Lion’s Pool this Friday. Please ensure all permission slips and money is sent to the office.
