online learning lesson plan for Wednesday April 01, 2020

Hello Parents and students,

You have been doing so well with your work. Today we will slow it down a bit for some students to catch up by doing more revision in Mathletics.  Please email if you cannot remember your login. We will start the Water Cycle in Science and will use the Science Fusion workbook. If you do not have it please email me so I can make alternative arrangements for you.

Here is the lesson plan:

I would like to share a bit from a devotion I did.

1 Chronicles 11:5b ” Nevertheless, David took the stronghold of Zion, that is, the city of David.”

Nevertheless is an adverb meaning “in spite of” The bible is riddle with “nevertheless” moments. We all have those moments and it may show up in very personal and specific ways to each of us. Nevertheless we have faith in a GOD who keeps his promises.

Here is a prayer you can use when words fails you.

Heavenly Father, you hold all things. You hold my past, present and future. When I face a bleak outlook, a difficult wait or an intimidating foe, please remind me that you are in charge. You can turn tables. You can bring about the unexpected. You can make the impossible possible. And with you there is always hope. Thank you Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.

March 26th Lesson Plan

Words of Encouragement

Isaiah 43:2:

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”

The Lord has promised never to leave us nor forsake us, no matter what life my throw at us. We are redeemed by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have been bought with a price and we belong to the Father and His favor is upon all His children. He has promised to cover us with His gentle calm and protect us by His perfect peace, when our hearts rest in Him.

We have an assurance that the promises of God’s protection and His help are available for all who trust in the His name. The children of Israel walked through the Red Sea on dry land and yet the same waters submerged the enemies of the Lord. The flames that were heated seven time hotter did not singe a single thread on the garments of Daniel’s three companions – and yet they consumed those that would throw them into the flames.

The children of Israel faced a physical enemy and God protected them. We face a spiritual enemy, but His protection and help is equally sure and steadfast for all who are called by His name. Let us trust God at His word – let us believe what God has said and rest in the knowledge that it is the God of the universe Who says to each one of us – When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you. When rivers of difficulty swirl around, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up and the fiery flames will not consume you.

The truth of God’s Word has been tried and tested by a myriad of saints down through the centuries, who not only trusted Him for their salvation but continued to trust Him through all the circumstances of life – for He has promised that He will never leave us nor forsake – let us trust in the God of our salvation in all things too.

Online lesson plan for Wednesday 25 March

Hello Parents,

I want to commend you for all that you are doing to with online teaching and learning. Please remember that if you could not get something done on the day it was assigned, then aim for the next day. We are all doing our best in an ever changing climate of decisions and fears.  Take heart that we are not abandoned. When we feel our backs are against the wall the word of GOD promises:

Deuteronomy 31:6- “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your GOD goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you”

What ever your “them” maybe right now, please do not be afraid and I know that very often people have a hard time taking GOD at his word but if GOD says it then that settles it.

Here is the lesson plan for Wednesday 25 March. I will also post it in seesaw.

Lesson guide/plan for online learning for Monday 23 March, 2020

Hello Parents,
We will be taking registration based on your child logging in and doing the activities. Last week was a good time to see what was realistically working for most people. We cannot meet the specific needs of each parent so please make the best choice for you as you know the unique circumstance that you are facing at home. We have simplified the schedule for the week. Have a look at the suggested schedule. You may follow it if it works for you. Out of the 19 students in Grade 3, we had 16 students who logged in and completed 90% of the work given. I am attaching the lesson guide/plans for Monday 23 March in seesaw but I will also post it in the blog.

Regards,
Mrs. Seerattan

Online learning for Friday 20 March

Hello Parents,
We looked at your feedback and are trying to put everything in one place as much as we can. I have attached the lesson plan for tomorrow with the instructions.  I have uploaded the link to this blog in seesaw under announcements. What that means is you can just open seesaw then click on announcements and click the link to this blog without having to open this site separately. The Specials teachers have sent in work but we will not include those until next week. Moving forward, we are hoping to do one day Math and Science, one day Social Studies and Literature and alternate those. Then have one day designated for Specials. Lets see if this reduces the stress we are all experiencing right now.
