Homework due on Jan. 29th, 2016

Hello Parents,

This week we focused on customary units in Maths (inches, feet, yards and miles). The students were exposed to the actual measurements so that they can have a foundation to work with when estimating what units to use to measure various objects. They also learned to read and measure to the nearest inch and half inch.

In grammar we wrapped up verbs by looking at the use of irregular verbs. Then we did review questions on verbs in preparation for a grammar test on Wed. 27th. We also focused on character traits from the novel Charlotte’s Web.

In Science we looked at change of states and the terms melting, boiling, evaporation and condensing. We had some fun looking at balanced diets in Social studies and I was happy to learn that most of Grade 3 do not drink sodas on a regular basis. Good job parents!
