Literacy Update
We spent the past week exploring Pronouns (Subject and Object Pronouns). We will continue with pronouns this week, which will lead to a review to take students into an assessment on Friday June 14th. Students completed their final oral book summary assessment for Grade three, for the next two Mondays students will continue to practice book summary both in writing and oral. Students will be given pointers to look over while they are on summer break so as to not lose what they have grasped so far. No more Spelling Tests for Grade Three, however we will continue to practice Spelling in class and in writing.
Social Studies Update
Students have been working on their traditional song/poem in class, they will begin presentations Tuesday June 11 and those who still need time to work on theirs will continue to do so. Thursday June 13 students will carry out an open book test, this will assess how well students are able use text to locate relevant information.
