Homework 23 – 25 May

Wednesday Reading.  Complete Project 11, What do you like and dislike about our novel study, the BFG by Roald Dahl?ThursdayMath.  Complete multiplication basic facts work in their Math Homework book.  Each child has chosen a page which will focus on a multiplication table they need to learn.  Many children have chosen p41, 9 times tables.  Please see your child’s agenda for the specific page number they have chosen.  Children are also to complete activities on Mathletics.  All children should aim to complete all Grade 3 tasks in the next month, as a summary of the concepts taught and to be prepared for Grade 4.Friday – Ensure each child has chosen a youtube video they can show to the class which relates to our Olympic Village theme.  Can they please bring the title of the clip and the url address so we can easily locate it in class.

Homework 14 – 18 May

MondaySpelling, Lesson 29, p168-173, Plural and Possessive WordsTuesdayMath, Chapter 11 Chapter Test, Textbook p507.WednesdaySocial Studies.  Children are to find out five facts about the custom and culture of Argentina.  They are to write these facts in their Inquiry book.  We will collate all these facts on Friday and display the information as a class.  Children are to ensure they write the five facts in detail and give examples where appropriate.  They may also print pictures displaying a certain aspect of the culture.  We will use these pictures in our whole class display.  Here are some helpful Internet sites the children can look at to gather these facts:

Thursday – Children are to read Journey to London and The Palace in the BFG by Roald Dahl.  Can parents please sign in the agenda so I know that children have completed this assignment.  Children should also do some basic facts maintenance work.
