Have a Blessed Easter Everyone!
We are proud to announce that First Baptist Christian School had successfully put together its second FBCS Science Fair on Friday the March 15th
The day was filled with much excitement, a healthy bundle of nerves and just good fun!
Our Grade 4 – 6 students had their displays set – up in the Gym where the judges had the opportunity to question each grade for approximately thirty minutes. Each student could present their project and then answer questions from the three Science Fair judges. The judges were Mr Eastman, Mr Vasic and Mr Walker.
Our Grade 3 students also did a super job of putting a display together of an aquatic ecosystem. It was very encouraging seeing their young minds at work. It was a great opportunity to share information and learn from fellow students and also from the judges who had some tough questions.
The feedback from our judges was very helpful. The questions presented challenge and the comments were both insightful and encouraging. The judges felt that the caliber of our student work was excellent.
We trust that the FBCS Science Fair will prepare and encourage our students to question and explore the world around them. This is excellent preparation for those that would like to participate in bigger events like the Rotary Science Fair.
Congratulations to those who received prizes and well done to all who participated!
