This term we are focusing on the ocean in the following three characteristics – physical, geological and ecological.
For the past few weeks, we have focused on the physical characteristics of the ocean as follows:
- Composition of the ocean water
- Salinity of the water and what causes it to be salty
- Currents, tides, buoyancy, temperature, density and waves
Last week we did an experiment to answer the following question: Is salt water denser than tap water?
We revised the scientific method and spent a lot of time discussing independent, dependent and controlled variables in an experiment.
