Lesson plan for Friday May 15, 2020

Today is dress up like a superhero day. If you can please remind your kids to dress up like their favorite superhero that would be “super.” Also remember that we have been learning about superheroes in the Bible, so they can choose to dress up like David, Daniel or one of the heroes in the Bible. It is also a time to let them know that some of our heroes in COVID-19 are nurses, doctors, delivery drivers, supermarket cashiers, moms, dads and those who are serving the community in a difficult time.

Today is our catch up and formative assessments day. So student will complete short quizzes and use the remaining time to catch up on “specials” and any other work that they need to.

REMEMBER THAT MONDAY MAY 18 IS A HOLIDAY AND THERE WILL NOT BE ANY ONLINE TEACHING.

Have a blessed and safe weekend.

Online learning lesson plan for May 13, 2020

Hello Parents,

In keeping with our “wellness day” on May 13, we would like to assign activities that require less screen time. We know that some of our students need to slow down a bit and reorganize their time. Use the day to laugh, draw, tell jokes, play a game and just be silly.

Job 8:21 -He will fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.

Today all the students will meet for Math at 12:30 for a brief instruction time with their teacher. Please click on plan to see schedule for the day.

Online learning Lesson plans for Tuesday May 5, 2020.

Hello Parents,

We will be adding the times onto the lesson plans so you can be aware of when the live teaching starts. Please note that Math is being taught to students in groups and can sometimes run a bit over. This means that the other group may not always start on time. As we get better this should resolve it self.

Also, we are working as a class to stop posting chats while the teacher is teaching or a video is playing. Any help in this area will be greatly appreciated.

Please see lesson plan here:

Lamentations 3:25

The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.

Hello Parents,

I wanted to start with this scripture verse today as you go into the weekend. Whatever has happened, whatever is happening and whatever is going to happen shows us how little control we really have. What we do have is the ability to choose to put our hope in something or someone. I encourage you today to put your hope in GOD.

Please see the attached lesson plan for today.

May 1 Lesson plans

It is also a day for the students to catch up on any unfinished work they missed during the week. Here is a checklist of what was posted on seesaw and activities they should complete this week.

Home learning lesson plan for April 29, 2020

Hello Parents,

Today we tried accessing Classnotes in Microsoft teams and some kids were able to do this. Others did not have OneNote downloaded on their computers. If your child is using an iPad they will need to download the OneNote app.

OneNote Class Notebook is a digital notebook for the whole class to store text, images, handwritten notes, attachments, links, voice, video, and more.

Each notebook is organized into three parts:

  1. Student Notebooks — A private space shared between the teacher and each individual student. Teachers can access every student notebook, while students can only see their own.
  2. Content Library — A read-only space where teachers can share handouts with students.
  3. Collaboration Space —  A space where everyone in your class can share, organize, and collaborate.

We will gradually ease into this and will still retain the use of seesaw as it is a valuable tool.

Here is the lesson plan for Wednesday April 29.
