Tuesday - Math. Subtracting Money.  Homework book p21

Wednesday - Social Studies. Seafarers, Pirates and Settlers. Workbook p24.  Refer to textbook pages 24-31

Thursday - Math.  Accelerated Math Activity.  Children working at different objectives so check your child’s bag for the activity they will be completing.

Grade 3 is learning to identify American money, make $1 out of a variety of coins, as well as add and subtract larger amounts of money.  We’re having fun using play money to help us learn!

Monday - Spelling, Lesson 11, plural words, p66-71

Tuesday - Math, Three digit addition, Homework book p17

Wednesday- Math, Add greater numbers, Homework book p18.  NOTE:  There will be an addition Math test on Thursday 24th of November.  Children may complete additional pages in the chapter two section of the homework book for extra practice.  There are also tasks on Mathletics which can be done for review.

Thursday - Grammar, Identifying nouns in the subject, Workbook p21-23

Friday - Show and Tell.  All children need to bring an item to share with their group.  Four children will be selected to present their item to the class.

Grade 3 will be performing a version of the above clip at a chapel service on Monday, 21st of November.  Each child has been assigned lines to memorize for this performance.  A copy of these lines was sent home on Monday 31st of October.  We will be doing a dress rehearsal on Wednesday 9th and 16th of November so children need to have memorized their lines by these dates.  All parents are welcome to attend the Monday 21stof November chapel service.

Monday - Spelling. More words with Long i. Lesson 8. p54-59

Tuesday - Math.  Identifying American money.  Practice Workbook p23-24.  Also complete Mathletics activity “What are the chances?”

Wednesday - Social Studies.  Tracing family history.  Social Studies Workbook p20.

Thursday - Grammar.  Identifying nouns and proper nouns.  Workbook p17-20.

Please note: The weekly spelling test will be this Thursday as there will be no school on Friday due to teachers attending the Private Schools Conference.

Monday - Spelling.  More words with long e.  Lesson 7 p42-47.  Also complete Bible workbook p33-34

Tuesday - Math.  Probability. Homework book p98.

Wednesday - Science.  Start revision for our Science test.  This maybe Friday or more likely after mid term break so children can also have the break to study.  A revision sheet will be sent home with key vocabulary and possible test questions.

Thursday - Math.  Preparation for our Statistics Math test on Friday, 21st of October.  Textbook Chapter 12 p554-555.

Mid Term Break homework - TBA

The Mid Term break homework will be a light load.  It will consist more of revision for our Science test, and maintenance work on Mathletics, Spellodrome and the Blog.   Mid Term Break is a well deserved rest for us all so do enjoy your time off!
