Week beginning April 15, 2019

Thank you for your continued support. The Science Fair was a huge success and the children had great fun explaining their projects to the judges!

This week we will be combining our learning into a cross-curricular Easter topic. We will be writing the Easter Story in our own words, doing lots of fun Easter activities and maybe even a special visit on Wednesday….!

Remember, there is no school for children on Thursday April 18.

Have a wonderful, relaxing break and we look forward to hearing all about your fun adventures when we return to school on Monday April 29. Happy Easter!

Week beginning April 8, 2019

Literacy: This week we will be analyzing familiar fairy tales into their beginnings, middles and endings. When you read with your children, please ask them to talk about the story and it’s beginning, middle and ending.

Numeracy: Number Partners for numbers 6 to 10 – addition and subtraction fact, for example, 10 = 5 + 5, 10 – 5 = 5. Your child will bring home a Parent Math Letter with more example to practise at home. This does not need to be returned to school.

Science: Matter continues. Experimenting with air occupying space in a balloon, in a bottle and other containers.

Bible: Continuing the story of Gideon and starting to learn about The Easter Story and all about why Christians celebrate Easter.

Social Studies: We are continuing to learn about Cayman plants and their uses.
