Dear Parents,First grade has been learning about the community. Our project is to build a diorama showcasing a community. This will be due on Friday October 7, 2011. Remember, in a community, you find buildings, plants, animals and people.This project will be marked out of 30. Points will be given for content (5), creativity (5), overall neatness (5), aesthetics /finished (5) and presentation (10).The word diorama refers to a small three-dimensional model of a real-life scene that has life- like details and realistic background. It is anything YOU want it to be. One of the great things about a diorama is the variety of ways to display it. The display is part of the fun and appeal of a diorama. Get creative and have fun! I can’t wait to see what your child will come up with.
