Topics/Objectives for February 27 – March 2, 2012.

Math: Review Ordinal Positions.          Make and read picture graphs and venn diagrams.          Make and read tally charts.          Use make a table strategy to solve problems.          Assessment: Venn diagram, picture graph and tally chart.Reading Groups: Honey-: ‘Me on the Map.’                           Nectar-: ‘Fun with Fish.’English: Assessment: Adjectives.              Tell what are contractions.              Describe/tell how contractions are formed.              Spell and write ‘not’ contractions. Spelling: Students will hear, say and write words with ed and ing. Spelling Words: dotted spotted hopped dropped stopped shopped jogged hopping dropping                       stopping shopping cutting running jogging. Challenge Words: admitting strutting proppedScience: Describe how plants and animals that live in the forest find what they need to survive.              Recognize tha plants and animals have characteristics that help them live in the forest.Social Studies: Tell what is a museum.                         Discuss why we visit the museum and why it is important.Assessment: Important buildings, our churches and schools, school and community rules and the                     museum.Bible: Students will understand that God protected Moses’ life.          God can use people with physical challenges.Memory Verse: Jesus answered, ” I am the way, the truth and the life.”                          John 14:6a.NB.
