Topics/Objectives For April 23-27, 2012

Math: Explore Facts Family.        Explore different ways to model numbers.       Find the value of pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters.       Add and subtract 2-digit numbers.Reading Groups: Honey-: Reading Comprehension                           Nectar-: Reading ComprehensionEnglish: Review capital letters, punctuation, commas in dates and place names, book titles and                titles of people.( This is only for students who are weak in these areas)Spelling : Review Words. Science: Observe and describe rocks based on their characteristics.              Collect information about rocks.              Classify rocks.Social Studies: Learn about special groups that help us. Eg. Red Cross, Scouts, The Lions etc.Bible: Review stories of Joseph, Moses, Sampson,and The Ten Commandments.Memory Verse: Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation.                         Romans 4:4NB. Parents, please ensure that your child studies the Memory verse.
