Math: Use connecting cubes to subtract from 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12           Problem Solving: Choose the best strategy to solve a problem.Chapter Test: Subtracting from 4-12.English: Pronouns: Use I correctly when talking about self and another person.                             Recognize he, she, it, they, I, you, we, him, them and us as words that take the place of                                nouns in sentences.              Synonyms: Tell what synonyms are.                               Recognize synonyms in sentences.Assessment: Nouns, Pronouns and Synonyms.Reading: Groups: Apple Pie:- ‘On the Way to the Pond’                             Apple Sauce:- ‘Where Do Frogs Come From?’                             Apple Juice:- ‘Dan’s Pet’ Spelling : Students will hear, say and spell words with the short /o/ sound.Spelling Words: Sonic & Mario: rock ox drop shop chop box pond stop clock want wash spotChallenge Words: lobster adopt monster Science: What Do Plants Need? Recognize that plants need light, air, soil and water to grow and survive.                Communicate observations about their plant.Social Studies: Use a compass rose to tell directions of places.                         Distinguish between pictures and maps.                         Describe a picture and a map of a community. Bible: Abraham Trusted God.          Students will learn that Abraham trusted God.         Each time they trust God, it will become easier to trust him the next time.         Tell the difference between trusting God and obeying God.          Compare ways that Noah and Abraham trusted and obeyed God.Memory Verse: “Where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence”                            Psalm 139:7a NB. Parents, please ensure that your child studies the Memory verse.
