Bible Drills Fun!
Today we had a blast with a Bible Drill! We divided ourselves into 2 teams…the Bible Hawks and the Bible Winners! The kids had a great time looking up each Bible verse that I called out while looking for different names for the Holy Spirit. In the end the Bible Winners won by just 1 point! Great job guys!

Multiplication Games
Multiplication can be fun! At least according to my grade 4 class! 😀 In fact..we almost skipped art today in order to continue working on multiplication! (Cross my heart it’s true!) The kids wanted more time to play some multiplication games online and since it was SO very popular, I wanted to share these links with you as well! This not only helps to get the kids interested and excited about multiplying, but it’s a fabulous way for them to practice their basic multiplication tables and build up their fluency in math. Please see below and have fun!
Technology Meets 2-Digit Multiplication
This week we’re still multiplying by 2-digit numbers but it’s getting a little trickier. The key to succeeding and becoming fluent in multiplying by 2-digits is repetition and practice. Practice, practice, practice. So, today that’s exactly what we did! We practiced using Math Playground (http://www.mathplayground.com/multiplication05.html). The kids really enjoyed using technology to help them with their work. Please allow your child to go log on to this website this week at home as well and…you guessed it…PRACTICE!

More Multiplying by 2-Digit Numbers
Read a Book!
This week I introduced a new reading concept for grade 4. Once a month, they will be required to fill out a form about 1 book that they’ve read during that month. This will hopefully help to ensure that the kids are not only understanding what they’ve read but following through and completing at least 1 book per month. I’ve attached a few pictures of the form to give you a better idea as to what I mean.
