End-of-Year Party

Dear Parents,

As part of our behavior management system in grade 4, we created a classroom bucket. At the beginning of the year, the class was promised a pajama party (at their request) if they were able to fill up their bucket with compliments from other teachers or school staff. Alas, the time has come that they have indeed filled their bucket. So, as promised, please allow your child to come to school on Thursday, June 20th, (last day of school and also a ½ day) dressed in or carrying their pajamas. Students will be allowed to bring in their tents, comforter and/or electronics.

As this party coincides with our Last-Day-of-School class party, please fill in the attached form, signing up to provide a food item, treat or drink.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your support through-out
the past year. You have helped to make this Grade 4 an amazing and unforgettable year.
It has been an absolute pleasure educating your child/children this year and watching them grow. I look forward to hearing about their continued success as they embark on their
Grade 5 adventure.

Sincerely Yours,

Ms. Suckoo

Rum Point Party

June 6, 2013

Dear Parents,

Grade 4, 5 and 6 will be taking their end of year field trip to Rum Point on Friday, June 14, 2013. We will leave school at 8.30am and return by 1:30pm. The students can wear free dress with their swimming clothes underneath.  They will need to bring a towel, sunscreen, drinking water and a change of clothing. Please indicate on the permission slip if you prefer that your child does not swim.

We would like to ask for parent volunteers to drive and accompany us on this trip. We would need one parent driver for Grade 6 and two parents for Grade 5. Please indicate on the slip if you are able to drive and how many children you can take in your vehicle.

Mr. Larry Seymour has kindly arranged a mini-bus for Grade 4 to travel in, so while we will not need transportation for this class, we will need a few chaperones. Please indicate on the attached form if you will be able to accompany us.

Rum Point will be providing lunch for us and have offered us the menu selection below. Please select what you would like your child to have for lunch. The cost for the trip will be $7.00 and include the food listed below:

Hot Dog

Burger – no cheese (4oz burger)

Burger with cheese (4oz burger)

Grilled Cheese (on wheat bread)

All meals include: French Fries (contain gluten), a cookie (cookie is made in a bakery that uses Nuts) and Choice of Soda – Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, 7-Up or Ginger Ale ($0.50 extra charge for juice (apple, orange, pineapple or cranberry)

We kindly ask for you to sign the attached permission slip and return with $7.00 by Wednesday,
June 11th.

We look forward to a fun trip. Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Ms. Suckoo, Ms. Nyyssonen, and Ms. Cilliers
