  2. Compare and order whole numbers expressed through millions; and
  3. Round whole numbers expressed through millions to the nearest thousand, ten thousand, and hundred thousand.
Focus in class:
  • Rounding off whole numbers to the nearest thousand, ten thousand, and hundred thousand.

  1. The survival of plants and animals depends on photosynthesis;
  2. Plants and animals have different structures and processes for obtaining energy; and
  3. Plants and animals have different structures and processes for creating offspring.

Literacy and Bible Objectives – October 7-11, 2019

GRAMMAR

– DRA Assessments will be taking place over the next couple of weeks. There will be no Grammar objectives or Grammar homework this week.

WRITING

We are continuing our Expository Writing unit, focusing on the following parts:

– Students will be continue to read and take notes about their topic

READING

– Students will describe, in depth, parts of a text such a character, the setting, an idea or concept, or key events.

– Students will to step into the character’s shoes.

– Students will understand that authors play with words, so I ask, “Could this mean something besides the literal meaning?”

SPELLING

– No Spelling Test this week. We’ll be focusing on some new vocabulary words.

BIBLE

– Complete exercises to reinforce the concept that the Bible is accurate.

– Respond to questions regarding Philip’s ministry to an Ethiopian man.

– Match scriptures to fulfilled prophecy with correct statements.

– Deduce that God’s Word is for all people, for all time.
