Winn-Dixie Spiders!

Last week, we took a pause from reading Because of Winn-Dixie and discussed the main characters and their traits. In order to creatively list these traits, we made spiders (invertebrates 😉 don’t you just love it when lessons tie in with each other? *happy dance*) and on each spider leg, students had to list a different trait of their chosen character. Here are our creepy crawlies!

Beanstalks!

Look at how much our teeny-tiny seeds have grown!

Multiplication…Here We Come!

 Dear Parents,

The time has arrived! We are starting Chapter 4 – Apply Multiplication and Division Facts. Please take some time during the next few weeks to help your child memorize his/her multiplication facts. Learning their basic multiplication facts sets a really solid foundation when we move on to tackle multi-digit multiplication and long division. Allow them to go on to mathletics.com to play some fun multiplication games. Some other online multiplication sites are:

There are loads of online multiplication games for your child/children to practice their facts while having fun. If you have found an amazing site that your child really enjoys, feel free to let me know so that I can add it to my list of game sites!

Happy learning!

Sincerely,

Ms. Suckoo
