English – Identify adjectives that tell ‘how many’ and ‘what kind’.

– Identify an adjective that follows the word it describes.

– Choose the correct articles (a, an or the).

Spelling Homework – Study spelling words for test on Friday.

Math – Estimate products by rounding.

– Multiply a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number.

– Choose the best strategy to solve problems.

– Students will be given additional time to practice using Mathletics and http://www.quia.com/mathjourney.html. We will also be playing various math games to increase students fluency and speed in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Social Studies – Discover the different cultures that help to influence us.

– Discuss the Arawaks and Caribs.

– Discover our European connection.

Bible – Conclude that God’s knowledge is eternal.

– Examine Scripture’s describing God’s involvement as Creator.

– Identify what God knows about us personally.

Homework: – Study Bible Verse for Friday. (Parents, please encourage your child to study and memorize his/her Bible verse. This counts towards their end of quarter Bible grade.)

Making a Snowman!

For art, Grade 4 made snowman paintings using snow!!! Well…ok…it’s not actual snow…but it kind of looks like snow right? It’s actually a bit of shaving cream mixed with glue! 🙂 The kids enjoyed getting their hands sticky while creating some cute art!
