Objectives and Homework for February 6 – 10, 2012

English: – Use comparative and superlative forms of good and bad.– Replace weak adjectives with exact adjectives.Homework: – Tuesday: Page 69Thursday: Page 71 Number the Stars:– We are starting a new class novel called Number the Stars this week. Be sure to ask your child to summarize what we’ve read in class and to discuss their favorite parts of each chapter.Homework: – Monday – Look up the term Nazi and make notes. Be prepared to discuss in class.

Spelling Homework – Study spelling words for test on Friday
– Monday: Pages 116-117
– Thursday: Pages 118-119

Math – Study Guide and Review for Chapter 7 Test on Wednesday.– Divide with and without remainders. – Students will be given additional time to practice using Mathletics and http://www.quia.com/mathjourney.html. We will also be playing various math games to increase students fluency and speed in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.Homework – Study for 8x Tables quiz on Friday. – STUDY Chapter 7 for test on Wednesday.

Science: – Demonstrate how to extract fresh water from salt water.

– Describe the water cycle and how precipitation is formed.

Bible – Undestand why we need to treat everyone with respect.
– Learn that all of us are sinners and why we all need the saving grace of Jesus.

Homework: – Study Bible Verse for Friday. (Parents, please encourage your child to study and memorize his/her Bible verse.
