Dear Parents,
WOW! Can you believe we have just started another school year already? This is going to be such an exciting year and I cannot wait to get started! My name is Tessa Suckoo and I am your child’s fourth grade teacher for this year. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself because I strongly believe that it is essential for parents to know as much about their child’s teacher as possible!
I attended the Art Institute, Miami International University of Art and Design where I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Right after graduation, I worked as a photographer/graphic designer at Picture This, Grand Cayman. The next year, I decided to focus more on graphic design at mc2 Design Group. However, while on a job at a local primary school, I was asked to take some pictures inside the classroom and from that moment, I was convinced that I was meant to become a teacher. I immediately enrolled at the University College of the Cayman Islands, where I graduated with my Post Graduate Diploma in Education.
This will be my fourth year teaching at First Baptist Christian School, and my second year teaching grade 4! I absolutely love teaching and could not imagine myself doing anything else!
