Objectives and Homework for December 9 – 13, 2013

English – We completed our studies and work on persuasive writing. Be sure to check our previous blog posts for photos of some very persuasive letters. 🙂 We are now working on writing a short story about Christmas in the Cayman Islands.

Math – Represent and interpret data in a line plot.

– Interpret a bar graph.

Spelling Homework –There will be no more spelling tests for the remainder of 2013. 🙂

Social Studies– Discover the different cultures that help to influence the Cayman Islands.

– Discuss the Arawaks and Caribs.

– Discover our European connection.

Bible – Write the names of Jesus, found in Isaiah 9:6.

– Decode the names given to Jesus before He was born.

– Answer questions and complete sentences related to the Christmas message.

Homework: – Study Bible Verse for Thursday. (Parents, please encourage your child/children to study and memorize his/her Bible verse. This counts towards their end of term Bible grade.)
