Long division can be a very daunting topic. We’ve only just begun and to make learning a little more fun, we found a few songs and a game to help us out. Please remind your child that because this is a new topic, it’s ok to be a bit confused and unsure. Long division takes time. The key is to practice a lot and repeat the steps over and over until it becomes easy. 🙂
Step 1. DIVIDE
Step 2: MULTIPLY
Step 3: SUBTRACT
Step 4: BRING DOWN
Step 5: Repeat (Do it all over again until you can’t divide anymore.)
