Learning objectives:

  • Identify how the attributes of one character are similar to or different from those of another character;
  • Compare two characters within a selection or between/among two or more selections;
  • Compare and contrast settings, characters, and events;
  • FLUENCY ASSESSMENTS WILL BE COMPLETED DURING THIS WEEK

GRAMMAR

Learning objectives:

  • Identify singular and plural nouns
  • Write the plural forms of nouns correctly
  • Proofread for plural nouns
  • Write the plural forms of nouns ending with y
  • Proofread for plural forms of nouns ending with y
  • Write the plural form of irregular nouns
  • Identify nouns as singular or plural
  • Proofread for plural nouns

SPELLING

There will be no spelling assessment this week. Instead, we will be completing our Star Reading Assessment.

SOCIAL STUDIES

  • Complete research on 1 Caribbean country of your choosing and create an informative, tourist brochure on it (to be worked on in class)

BIBLE

  • Identify examples of adding and taking away from God’s word.
  • Memory Verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:11 – Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

SPECIAL REMINDERS

SPELLING MANIA – Each student who participates in raising money will each a refreshing popsicle. The student with the most money raised in each grade will receive an additional prize.
