Spelling Homework – This week is Global Awareness Week in school so there will be no spelling test this week.

Science – Review the water cycle.

– Describe different kinds of precipitation. Understand what causes different kinds of weather.

Social Studies – Review what it means to be a citizen.

– Discover facts about Zimbabwe.

– Skype with missionaries from Africa.

Bible – Compare Old Testament prophesies with Jesus’ crucifixion.

– Explain how to worship and praise God with words and music.

Homework: – Study Bible Verse for Friday. (Parents, please encourage your child/children to study and memorize his/her Bible verse. This counts towards their end of term Bible grade.)

Making Fresh Water

Before our Easter break, Grade 4 tried to make fresh water from salty water, dirty water and water with a lot of food colouring in it. Our experiment was a whopping success. Each experiment gave us clean, fresh water. Be sure to ask your child/children to explain the process to you in detail. Enjoy our pictures!

Science Fair Grade 4 Winners

Congratulations to the entire Grade 4 class for doing such a brilliant job working together and sharing their ideas. They all put on a magnificent display for the school and for the judges.

A special congratulations to the group How Greasy Are Your Chips for being the winning group. Here is a photo with Ms. Cilliers, Greasy Chips (with their book prizes) and myself. 🙂 Great job guys!

A massive thank you to everyone for helping us do such an amazing job with the Science Fair. I think Grade 4 showcased some really impressive displays…that even rivaled the higher grades. Fantastic job! 🙂

Spelling Homework – There will be no spelling test this week.

Science – This is the last week that we will have before the Science Fair, so we will continue to work on our experiments during class. The Science Fair is Friday, April 15, starting at 12:30. Grade 4’s time will be from 1:00 – 1:30. Please feel free to drop by and have a look at all of the hard work that has gone into preparing for this. The Science Fair will be in the gym, and will last until 2:30.

Bible – Use context clues to complete an article about being created in God’s image.
