In honor of the completion of our Arawak’s and Carib’s project, I would like to extend an official invitation for you to experience the Grade 4 presentation of their masterpieces on Thursday, November 10 at approximately 12:30pm in the Grade 4 classroom. We would like to make this a grand presentation as I’m sure you have all worked tirelessly on this project.

As a fun way to merge our classroom topics, we’ve also decided to include some snacks that are mentioned in our class book Because of Winn-Dixie. A few students have volunteered to attempt to make some of these yummy treats for us. It would be lovely if you could come for a visit, if only for a few minutes.

Please let me know if you are able to make it.

Excited and anxiously waiting,

Sprouting Seeds

This week in Science, we have been learning about the different stages in the life cycles of plants. Today, we began a little experiment in order for us to observe each stage. Fingers crossed that all goes according to plan! 🙂Be sure to ask your child what his/her hypothesis (what they think will happen) for the experiment is.

Winn-Dixie

We are continuing to read Because of Winn-Dixie in Grade 4, so in honour of Harvest time, we decided to create Winn-Dixie out of a pumpkin! Have a look and see what we came up with. Unfortunately, I must also let you know that poor Winn-Dixie began to rot, so with a heavy heart we had to throw him in the garbage.  :'(
