READING: It’s reading week! Our focus this week is ‘Once Upon A Time’, check out the reading focus. Listed below:
Monday: The True Story Three Little Pigs
Tuesday: Aesopes Fables
Wednesday: Jack and the Beanstalk
Thursday: Cinderella
Friday: Dress up day as your favorite book character AND writing your own fairytale
WRITING We will continue our opinion writing. Last week learners published a piece they had been working on (to eat or not to eat candy, that was the question!).
SPELLING Instead of spelling homework, we will be reading at least 30 minutes EVERY night this week!
NUMERACY Students will be doing a week of review on whole number multiplication. This will include a review of different multiplication methods like grid, column and place value.
SCIENCE Students we finishing their topic of ecosystems and focusing on how humans impact an ecosystem.
Projects: students were given an extension and they are due on Wednesday! Some will be taking home parts to complete it, if not turned in by Wednesday they will be docked 2 points for their own score, not the group.
SOCIAL STUDIES Students will be presenting their Carib and Arawaks projects.
