ACTIVITY 1:

1. Follow along in your Number the Stars book and listen to Chapter 10 on the

link attached.

2. Stop and Think about the following:

a. Do you understand why Uncle Henrik didn’

b. How does Mama show bravery?

c. What was significant about the psalm that Peter read? Did you hear the title

of the book called in the Bible? Look up this Psalm in the Bible. It will hopefully

be a comfort to all of us right now.

ACTIVITY 2:

3. Describe, either using words or draw a picture of the scene that stands out

to you the most from Chapter 10. You must write at least 5 detailed sentences.

4. Under your picture or description, please make a prediction about what you

think is in the casket. Is it Great Aunt Birte, who we’ve never heard of? Or

something else?

Write an opinion piece stating your opinion on this statement. Remember it needs to include everything you have learned about opinion writing and debates (an introduction, at least 3 strong reasons for your opinion, and a conclusion for a total of 5).

You will have 3 days to submit your final piece – Due on Friday, April 3rd. This is our Post Assessment, so this is nothing new and the time limit is the same. Give yourself at least 30 minutes each day to work on this. Please look back over your

writing composition book. You’ve been taught how to do this, so just put that into practice.
