ACTIVITY 1:

1. Follow along in your Number the Stars book and listen to Chapter 14 on the link attached.

2. Stop and Think about the following:

a. How does Annemarie pass the time as she travels through the woods?

b. Why did Annemarie choose that particular fairytale?

c. Do you think Annemarie was able to be brave because she didn’t know what was in the packet? Why?

d. Annemarie must know how important the packet is because of certain things her mother has said. Use text evidence to prove that Mama really wants Annemarie to accomplish this task.

Pronoun Book Snap 

A PROnoun is a word that takes the place of a noun or multiple nouns. Some common examples of pronouns are:

Singular Pronouns (one): I, me, you, he, him, she, her, it

Plural Pronouns (more than one): we, us, you, they, them

ACTIVITY 1:

–   WATCH the pronoun video attached.

–   LISTEN to my voice note attached.

ACTIVITY 2:

To apply pronouns to our real lives, you are going to now:

1.    Grab whatever novel that you are reading now.

2.    Take a picture of one page in that novel that has a lot of pronouns.

3.    Add that picture to student responses.

4.    Use the pen tool to underline all the pronouns on the page.

5.    You can use the T tool to add emojis to represent some of the pronouns.

6.    Using the T tool or , explain what a pronoun is.

7.    Check over your work to make sure you haven’t missed any.

8.    Submit your page.

–        Every digit in a number has a place value.

–        Place value can be defined as the value represented by a digit in a number on the basis of its position in the number.

–        Place value columns to the right of the decimal point are decimals and part of a whole.

–        We can represent decimals as a fraction.

–        When we compare numbers, we must compare each place value of both numbers.

ACTIVITY:

–        Create a video blog where you talk about your experiences and feelings during lockdown for 1 minute

LESSON 1:

–        Write down some ideas of what you would like to say before you start recording.

–        Try to focus on the following:

o   What are you grateful for?

o   Which parts have you enjoyed/not enjoyed?

o   What new skills or hobbies have you gotten into

o   What are you excited to do when lockdown is over?

o   Which friends/family do you miss and what do you miss doing with them?

–        Read through it and try to memorize it and practice how to you will say things

–        Do a practice round where you time yourself

LESSON 2:

–        You are now going to record yourself (or someone in your family can record you)

–        Once you start recording, do not read from your piece of paper but you can use it to peek at if you forget what you were going to say

–        Speak with confidence, make eye contact, have good posture, use expression in your voice, be captivating, have fun!
