Dear Parents,

We are asking EVERYONE to drop off student textbooks and novels (including library books) and to pick up any final certificates, portfolios and belongings. You can pick-up left supplies and drop off books in the breezeway next week, June 22-26^th.

You are going to write a descriptive narrative.
Your monster pet is missing! Write a short descriptive narrative detailing your setting, describing your monster using vivid details, your problem and solution.
Remember, this is a DESCRIPTIVE narrative, so you MUST include a lot of show not tell sentences. Look back over some of our One and Only Ivan pages for amazing examples that we’ve discussed constantly.

BREAKDOWN:
Paragraph 1 – Introduction (Describe your main characters and setting. Introduce your problem.)
Paragraphs 2-3 – Body (Explain your problem in detail. What happened to your monster? How are you going to find him/her?)
Paragraph 4 – Conclusion (How did you find your monster? Or did you find your monster? Describe how conclusion.)
